Sophie is still furious about losing an unsolved homicide case when she joins the Honolulu Police Department. Her first potential case seems strangely bizarre, but she decides to investigate a box of old artefacts from the past.
Her investigation takes her back in time to a hospital at Pearl Harbor. Nothing seems to make sense – until a new homicide appears to be connected to a series of murders dating back to 1942.
Can Sophie solve a murder mystery whose dark roots reach all the way back to December 1941?

A Little Background Story About Detective Tiger
Originally, I wrote this story as a spin-off for the TV series Magnum, P.I.. Its working title was Tiger, P.I., inspired by Magnum's love of the Detroit Tigers.
I created four characters and wrote a pilot episode, along with a concept for a nine-episode series. I also developed the characters further and mapped out an entire first potential season.
I had an absolute blast creating it!
When the new Magnum, P.I. series came along, I reworked the pilot episode into a short story, introducing Sophie Tiger as Detective Tiger.
Eine kleine Hintergrundgeschichte zu "Detective Tiger":
Ursprünglich schrieb ich die Geschichte als Spin-off für die TV-Serie Magnum, p.i.. Der Titel lautete "Tiger, p.i.", inspiriert von Magnums Liebe für die Detroit Tigers. Ich kreierte vier Charaktere und schrieb einen Pilotfilm samt einem Konzept, das aus 9 Folgen bestand. Außerdem entwickelte ich die Charaktere weiter und verfasste ein vollständiges Bild innerhalb von einer ersten möglichen Staffel. Es machte unbandig Spaß. Als der neue Magnum, p.i. erschien, schrieb ich den Pilotfilm um in eine Kurzgeschichte mit Sophie Tiger als Detective Tiger.
